JAI HO!!

The world is loving Jai Ho and so are we!

Slumdog Millionaire has moved a zillion eye balls and ears to Bollywood and Bollywood music. It was a very proud moment to see the entire Slumdog Millionaire team the Oscar stage!! 3 Cheers!!

Pussycat Dolls didn't waste time making their own version of Jai Ho called Ae Ho! Ha ha ha ha... why can't westerners learn to give credit where its due and rest in peace? Why do they have to try and be a part of everyone's success? Why can't they accept that successful projects can come out of India and leave it at that?

And there will be many people (including Indians) who will say that Slumdog did not deserve all the Oscars it got and Jai Ho did not deserve 'best song'... ha ha ha... Sour grapes!!

I am a great fan of Rahman's music (tell me who isn't?). Some of my favorite album (movie soundtracks) are Saathiya, Yuva, Taal, Jodha Akhbar, Bombay, Jaane Tu, Delhi 6... but my most favorite is Ada. Not many may have heard the soundtrack of Ada but I think it is one of Rahman's best work. Listen to the song 'Hawa Sun Hawa'. WOW!!

Some of my other Rahman favorites are: Nahin Saamne (Taal), Jashn-e-Bahara (Jodha Akbar), Saathiya (Saathiya), Jaane Tu & Ahista Ahista (Jaane Tu), Masakali (Delhi 6)... and there are many more!!
