August 2, 2008: Another Unforgetable night... Houston rocked to the mind blowing performances by the biggest Bollywood stars on BOLLYWOOD DAY (as instiuted by Harris County)! As usual the 'company' rocked. After the first two acts (Riteish and Preity's) Mrs. Jaya Bachchan exclaimed, "My God, whats happened to your dancers today, they are something else!" Ahem!! Mr. Bachchan is the ultimate rocker who gets each and everyone in the audience on their feet, waving their hands, belting his songs and totally grooving to the beat of calypso rhythm (which is the finale' of his solo act). In his own words... "Yeh Baby!!"
Highlight of the day: Mr. Bachchan was in the midst of Rang Barse and as the tempo picked up and everyone was getting more and more into the groove... the sound went off... the power to the Sound system tripped... but Big B continued to croon and groove as if nothing was wrong and the crowd roared even more, and before you know Abhishek appeared on stage grooving with 'dad'... Vishal and Shekhar jumped in too... talk about quick thinking and team spirit... WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! In a few minutes the sound was back again and the crowd roared even more... what can I say... totally rocking!!!
Vishal & Shekhar are all time rockers! They just know how to get the crowd going. Its a different thing that they have produced some super hit songs in the recent past and the audience sings along and enjoys every moment with them, but their energy on stage is amazing... three cheers!!
Dola Re Dola... wah! wah! wah! Each time I see this performance, My Dil Goes Hmmmm!! ha ha... (Rajesh, that's for you). Madhuri + Aishwarya + The Shiamak Davar Dance Company + Awesome Choreography + Beautiful Costumes + Stunning Lighting + Breathtaking Visuals (LED) = Historical Performance. This is one song I never want to miss watching on the entire tour.
